Itneg, an alternative term for Tingguian, was originally employed to describe mountain inhabitants.

In Binongan, music holds a significant cultural role, and the community's livelihood centers on agriculture, where they cultivate the land and engage in the production of woven blankets and various crafts, including pottery and baskets. This traditional way of life exemplifies their deep-rooted ties to the land, highlighting the importance of their agricultural practices and craftsmanship in preserving their unique culture.
