Tigwahanon

The Tigwahanon people primarily speak Matigsalug Manobo, which, while sharing similarities with Matigsalug, has distinct key terms and features an alphabet with 18 letters.

The community's name is derived from the Tigwa River that runs through the town of San Fernando, where they reside. The Tigwahanon ancestral domain is crucial for the conservation of the critically endangered Philippine Eagle and hosts four pairs of these magnificent birds, along with other endangered flora and fauna.
